Step 1 - Understanding How We Work

We will require several small payments from you at several intervals (typically at contract, at basement pour, and at roof completion).  This serves to instill confidence to both parties.  The balance of the funds will usually come from a mortgage loan lender at a closing that we will set up with a Title Company when the house is completed and all inspections warrant an occupancy permit.  We will require that you get a mortgage pre-approval letter.  If you are currently working with a lender, it is a simple thing to do. If you are not tied up with a mortgage loan company we would highly recommend First State Bank - we work closely with them, and we are confident in their great service and performance.

In order to speed things along, please be prepared with the following items for your contact with Chris Ervin:

  • 2 most recent pay stubs
  • Last 2 years tax returns
  • 2 months recent bank statements
  • Open loans (Name, acct. no., payments & balances)
  • Any retirement account info
  • Last 2 years landlord info
  • Social security card & drivers license
